Centennial Quality Unit and Founder’s Award for 2007
The Boy Scouts of America 100th anniversary is only four years away. The excitement of celebrating a century of fun and adventure, citizenship, patriotism and good character is truly an opportunity for America to salute the Boy Scouts of America.
Through the new National BSA Strategic Plan, “2010: When Tradition Meets Tomorrow,” we are pleased to introduce the Centennial Quality Unit Award. This newly revised award program is our opportunity to salute those who truly deliver exceptional Scouting programs to youth members at our unit level.
The primary focus is:
“To improve the Quality of program in every unit in America!”
Each unit will establish annual goals to accomplish in key areas of quality program delivery from 2007 through 2010. When a unit earns this award, it makes a statement that they have provided their youth members with the highest quality program experience possible.
Please use this form to establish your Centennial Quality Unit goals for 2007. Bring this completed form to your next District Roundtable meeting or contact your District Executive here at the William Lyon Homes Center for Scouting at (714) 546-4990.
In addition the Centennial Quality Unit award, your unit will also be eligible for the Council’s Founder’s Award recognition by achieving unit goals in the areas of Friends of Scouting, Scout-O-Rama ticket sales and Popcorn sales. Contact your District Executive for more information on the Founder’s Award recognition and your unit’s specific goals.
